beerbiceps ranveer allahbadiaRanveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, spoke about his near-death experience in Goa.

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, had a near-death drowning experience in Goa last year. It was reported that he and his girlfriend at the time had to be rescued after being swept under a current. He subsequently shared a note on social media, announcing that they were fine. During a chat with actor Raghav Juyal on his YouTube channel, Ranveer reflected on the incident, and said that he was trying to rescue his friend when he accidentally got kicked during the struggle. They were saved by a family of five who happened to listen to their cries for help.

Making a reference to the India’s Got Latent controversy that he was involved in more recently, he said, “I had a drowning incident in December before any of this happened. I had to be rescued. There was a family of IPS officers nearby; I don’t know how or why, but there they were. It was at a beach I go to all the time. I was with a friend, who became anxious. I realised that when you’re caught in intense waves, you can save yourself, but it’s very difficult to save someone else. While trying to save her, I got kicked in my stomach. I got winded.”

He continued, “I realised that I won’t be able to do it. I yelled for help, my friend yelled for help. The IPS officer’s family came to rescue us; the husband, the wife, and their three kids. The five of them pulled us out. I was in complete shock. For a couple of hours, you’re in a very reflective zone. It’s a bad version of what happened to Hrithik in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.”

In a note recounting the terrifying experience, Ranveer had written in an Instagram post, “We’re perfectly fine and well now. But yesterday at 6:00 pm or so, my girlfriend and I had to be rescued from a bit of a situation. A casual, fun dip in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current that toppled both of us. The next thing we knew was that we were both struggling to stay afloat. There was a point during the ordeal where I swallowed a lot of water and started fading away a little bit. That’s when I decided to shout for help. Deep gratitude to the family of the IPS officer husband and IRS officer wife who saved us both.”

Ranveer concluded his note by saying, “I guess 2025 is going to be more blessed than ever. We lived for a reason!” The year 2025 was, in fact, the worst that Ranveer has had professionally. He was publicly canceled after making comments perceived as crass on India’s Got Latent. He said in his new video that it’s only now that things have calmed down, but the controversy resulted in monetary loss and a negative impact on his mental health. In the same conversation, he also revealed that he and his girlfriend broke up a few days before the controversy.
