Diwali transformed Tamil Nadu into a dazzling spectacle, as homes, streets, and skylines came alive with the warm glow of candles, diyas, twinkling lights, and fireworks. The festive spirit was captured in a stunning drone video that has left viewers in awe.

ANI shared the video on its X account, offering a bird’s-eye view of the celebrations. The footage, shot in Virudhunagar district’s Sivakasi which is known for its firecracker industry, showcased the beautifully illuminated city, with fireworks painting the night sky.

The clip was uploaded with the caption, “Drone visuals from Sivakasi of Virudhunagar district show a beautifully illuminated city and a skyline adorned with fireworks, on #Diwali.”

The video has already gone viral on X, amassing over a lakh views. Social media users could not help but share their admiration. One commented, “Sivakasi also known as Little Japan for its firecracker industry.” Another wrote, “Tamilnadu people celebrating Diwali. On the occasion of Ram going back to Ayodhya after defeating Ravan.” A third humorously remarked, “NASA video ki shuru-aat Sivakasi se ho rahi hai, Kal subah takk pan India ka aa-jayega.” Yet another simply said, “This is my India.”

Tamil Nadu was not the only southern state dazzling in Diwali lights. Bengaluru’s celebrations were also caught from above in a video by aerial content creator Srihari Karanth (@sriharikaranth). The one-minute footage pieced together mesmerising aerial shots of the city gradually lighting up, fireworks sparking across the skyline, and the metropolis coming alive with festive joy.

The video even drew praise from Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who shared on X, “This has come out so well. The canvas is artistic. Brush strokes are camera exposure. Great effort.”
