Hyderabad-based dairy company Heritage Foods has acquired 51% stake in Peanut Butter and Jelly, the company behind Get-A-Way (GAW) brand ice creams, for ₹9 crore.

While original promoters will continue to hold the remaining 49%, the deal provides Heritage the option to purchase an additional 20% stake from them by March 2026 at an appropriate valuation.

For Heritage Foods, which plans to expand its presence in the fast-growing ice cream and healthy dessert categories, the investment will give it a strong foothold in the super-premium, functional and indulgence-balanced segment that is anchored on high-protein, no-added-sugar, and health focused product innovation.

“This partnership brings together our three decades of dairy expertise and manufacturing excellence with Get-A-Way’s innovative product portfolio and strong Gen-Z consumer connect,” Heritage Executive Director Brahmani Nara said. The super-premium and healthy dessert segment is rapidly expanding, the company said in a release.

With Heritage Foods’ manufacturing scale, distribution strength and strategic guidance, “we are poised to expand our footprint across India while maintaining the innovation and quality…”, Peanut Butter and Jelly co-founder and CEO Jash Shah said. The company reported ₹18.08 crore turnover in 2024-25.
