BENGALURU: A 22-year-old delivery agent, working for an online grocery delivery firm, was arrested by RT Nagar police for allegedly sexually harassing a Brazilian woman in her city flat. Part time delivery boy.The accused, identified as Kumar Rao Pawar, is a graduate student at a private college and works part-time as a delivery agent, police said.The accused, Kumar was remanded to judicial custody and is lodged at Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara. The 21-year-old woman has been working as a model for a private company for the last two months. The firm had provided accommodation in a flat at Sultanpalya to the woman and two other foreign nationals working as models.
On Oct 17 at 3.30pm, the woman ordered groceries online, and the accused came to her flat with the delivery, according to the police complaint filed by the woman’s colleague on Oct 25.The accused reached her flat on the first floor and rang the doorbell. When the woman opened the door, he misbehaved with her and touched her inappropriately on the pretext of giving the parcel. Shocked by the incident, she pushed the man out and locked the door. She recently told her flatmates about the experience, and subsequently, her employer was alerted. They checked the CCTV footage, confirmed the incident, and lodged a complaint.
