Gujarat shocker: Woman’s ex-boyfriend stabs her husband in Chandkheda; victim survives with 70 stitches

AHMEDABAD: A 25-year-old woman in Chandkheda on Friday filed a complaint against her ex-boyfriend, who stays in Himmatnagar, for allegedly stabbing her husband. The incident occurred near the Jagatpur Bridge, close to the Sunrise Homes flat when the couple was on their way to meet a builder regarding their new flat. “He suddenly got into our car and attacked my husband with a knife on the left hand, near the neck, and other parts of the body,” the woman stated in the FIR.

The husband, who works as a project manager at a construction company, sustained multiple stab wounds. The woman also suffered minor injuries while trying to intervene. The commotion attracted the attention of bystanders, causing the assailant to flee the scene.The injured was taken to a private hospital where he received about 70 stitches. He was later discharged from the hospital. A complaint was registered for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons.
