In a post on X, PM Modi said the players displayed “great skill and confidence” and praised their “exceptional teamwork and tenacity” throughout the tournament. Calling it a “historic win”, he said the triumph would inspire future champions to take up sports.India clinched their first-ever Women’s World Cup title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs in Mumbai.
