Elon Musk has said he would “never commit suicide” during a conversation with Joe Rogan about a mysterious interstellar comet known as 3I/ATLAS.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the Tesla and SpaceX chief discussed theories about extraterrestrial life and claims linking the comet to possible alien technology.

Musk’s remark came as he addressed conspiracy theories suggesting that people who uncover evidence of aliens meet unexplained deaths.

“If I was aware of any evidence of aliens Joe, you have my word I will come on your show and I will reveal it on the show,” Musk said.

He then added, “I’m never committing suicide, to be clear. So, on camera, guys, I am never committing suicide ever.”

Comet 3I/ATLAS is the third known interstellar object to enter our solar system. Its unusual path and composition have drawn attention from scientists, including Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb and theoretical physicist Michio Kaku, who have said some of its features could be artificial. Others believe the comet’s behaviour has natural explanations.

Musk joked about the comet’s name, saying, “It’s a hell of a name. It sounds like ‘Third Eye’ or something.”

When Rogan mentioned that Loeb had noted the comet’s high nickel content, Musk replied: “There are definitely comets and asteroids that are made primarily of nickel… it doesn’t mean it’s a spaceship. It’d be a very heavy spaceship to make it all out of nickel.”

According to NASA, 3I/ATLAS follows a hyperbolic orbit, confirming that it came from outside the solar system. Scientists recently observed a sudden increase in its brightness as it passed close to the Sun, giving it a bright blue hue – a feature that researchers, including Loeb, have described as unusual.
