AHMEDABAD: A dramatic confrontation at a Ranip jewellery shop on Thursday afternoon has gone viral after CCTV footage captured the moment a woman’s robbery attempt spectacularly failed.The video shows the woman entering the gold and silver store near Ranip vegetable market, pretending to browse ornaments. She suddenly threw chilli powder at the shop owner, hoping to blind him and grab valuables. The powder missed its target.

The jeweller leapt over the counter and retaliated, slapping her over 15 times and striking her repeatedly before finally pushing her out of the shop.The entire episode, lasting just seconds, was caught on CCTV and quickly spread on social media.Ranip police inspector Ketan Vyas said, “We tried convincing the man seen in the CCTV footage to lodge a complaint, but he refused.”Also read: Woman films molester inside bus in Kerala; video viralAuthorities are on the lookout for the woman and investigating whether she may have attempted similar robberies elsewhere.
