Bihar Election 2025 Phase 2 Voter Turnout Today Live Updates: The voter turnout in the final and second phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections, was recorded to be 60.40 per cent, as of 3 pm on Tuesday — slightly over 42.31 per cent in Phase 1 of polling held on November 6 by this time. Polling began early today across 122 seats in Bihar, including Mithila, Kosi belt, western Bihar, Magadh, Angika and Seemanchal regions. The polling is taking place amid heavy security at the booths across Bihar, following the blast outside New Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday. In the first phase of polls held on November 6, the voter turnout touched 64.66%, a jump from the 57.29% recorded in the 2020 Assembly elections, as 121 constituencies across 18 districts went to the polls. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.

NDA vs INDIA bloc: The NDA hopes to continue to helm the state, while the RJD and Congress are hoping to break JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar’s two-decade-run as Bihar Chief Minister. While the RJD in alliance with the JD(U) won the 2015 Bihar elections, the alliance broke soon after. Now, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, supported by the Congress, is fighting to break the RJD’s electoral jinx. The key candidates include Bijendra Prasad Yadav, a veteran JD(U) leader and the most senior member of the state cabinet, who seeks to retain his Supaul seat for a record eighth term.
Bypolls across India: Voting for bypolls is also underway in eight Assembly constituencies across six Indian states and one UT. These include: Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatsila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram, and Nuapada in Odisha.
