NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the India A U19 and India B U19 squads for the upcoming U19 Triangular Series, which will include Afghanistan U19 as the third team. The Junior Cricket Committee made the selections for the tournament scheduled to begin on November 17 at the BCCI COE in Bengaluru.

However, teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not included in either squad for the triangular series. “Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was not considered for selection as he is picked for the India A squad for the ACC Rising Stars Asia Cup,” BCCI stated in their official release.Suryavanshi was named in the Jitesh Sharma-led India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup to be held in Doha later this month.India A are placed in Group B alongside Oman, UAE and Pakistan A, while Group A comprises Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, Afghanistan A and Sri Lanka A in the tournament to be played from November 14-23.Young player Ayush Mhatre was also not selected as he is currently participating in the Ranji Trophy.The triangular series will begin on November 17 with IND U19 A vs IND U19 B match. The final will be played on November 30. The triangular series will be played at the BCCI COE in Bengaluru.Vihaan Malhotra will captain India U19 A squad, with Abhigyan Kundu serving as vice-captain and wicketkeeper.The India U19 B squad will be led by captain Aaron George and vice-captain Vedant Trivedi.India U19 A Squad for triangular series: Vihaan Malhotra (C) (PCA), Abhigyan Kundu (VC & WK) (MCA), Wafi Kachchhi (HYD CA), Vansh Acharya (SCA), Vineeth V.K (TNCA), Lakshya Raichandani (CAU), A.
