2017 Kerala Actress Assault Case Verdict LIVE Updates: In February 2017, a leading Malayalam female actor was abducted and sexually assaulted in a moving car in Kochi, an incident alleged to be part of a broader conspiracy involving prominent actor Dileep. Almost nine years after the heinous crime that sent shockwaves across the nation, the Ernakulam District and Principal Sessions court pronounced its verdict in the case on Monday, December 8. During the investigation, Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, a driver working in the film industry, was named as the prime accused. But it didn’t end with him. During the assault, Suni reportedly told the survivor that he was executing a contract, commonly referred to as a “quotation.”

Investigators later concluded that the attack was not a random act of violence but part of a larger conspiracy intended to intimidate and humiliate the survivor. This line of inquiry eventually led them to actor-producer Dileep, who allegedly hired Pulsar Suni to carry out the assault. A total of 10 people, including Dileep, were named accused in the case.
