Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday praised the media for its work and said that while the government continuously works for the citizens, constructive criticism is essential for policy improvement and public welfare and it must be guided by positive intent.

“Every criticism should come with a positive mindset and the intention of public welfare. We will turn negativity into positivity and work towards realising the dream of a Viksit Bharat,” CM Patel said at the second season of three-day event BharatKool – a platform that showcases Indian culture – organised by Gujarat Media Club and hosted by Gujarat University.

CM Patel underscored the significance of Indian culture, noting that India is recognised globally for its ancient and eternal culture that guides humanity towards truth. Referring to Swami Vivekanand, the CM mentioned that even a brief glimpse of Indian culture left people in the Western region profoundly moved, and many who explored it further dedicated their lives to it. The new generation must understand the core values of our Sanatan civilisation, he added.

CM Patel urged the youth to progress with the times while upholding Swadeshi and cultural values, and to advance on the path of development by freeing themselves from a mindset of slavery.

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi emphasised the role of ‘Bhav, Raag and Taal’ in Gujarat’s development and commended the organisers for selecting these unique themes for the BharatKool programme.

He noted that one should rejoice at positive developments and feel concerned about setbacks, as such awareness is vital for growth. The Deputy CM also mentioned that India’s largest music museum and studio is being established in Vadnagar, with similar facilities planned in Vadodara.

“The task of preserving culture carried out over the past 30 years has continued steadily since the beginning of Narendra Modi’s leadership,” he said.
