When Bollywood star Katrina Kaif decided it was finally time to transform her neglected terrace into a cozy retreat, she turned to Gauri Khan. On her design show, Kuron Dream Homes, Gauri teamed up with Katrina to reimagine a space that had long been untouched.

Katrina revealed that while her terrace gets good use during photo shoots and occasional moments, it lacked the comfort and aesthetic she longed for. “There’s no like comfortable space you’d want to hang out with a book or chill with your friends,” she explained. “And I always say I’m going to do it… and yeah, I never do it.”

That changed when Gauri stepped in. Katrina’s dream? A cozy, protected corner where she could host Christmas dinners, unwind after long days, and yes—click those perfect Instagram shots. “I like organic, earthy kind of… New York loft kind of vibes,” Katrina said, adding with a laugh, “I’m terrible with colour, but I really want colour. You please do that.”

Gauri was ready. “Here are a few things I’ve learned about actors over the years,” she shared. “They are confident, hardworking, and adapt to any situation very easily. I know how important home can be to an actor… so now that Katrina is trusting me with her home, it’s important that I understand the kind of peace, energy, and ambience she’s envisioning for her terrace.”

As Gauri and her team dove into the renovation, the space was reimagined from the ground up—literally. The flooring was redone entirely using ash white tiles. “The flooring gives the terrace a fresh, clean vibe, and it’ll hold up well against the Mumbai monsoons,” Gauri explained.
