Mitchell continued his blistering run of form, scoring his second consecutive century of this series and then going on to make 137 off 131 balls. Phillips, on the other hand, smashed 106 in 88 balls. The partnership between the two batters produced a whopping 219 runs off 188 balls which helped New Zealand get to a score of 337/8 despite being 5/2 at one stage.
