Lodha Developers Ltd. has announced to invest an additional ₹1 lakh crore in a data centre park in Maharashtra.
On January 19, Abhishek Lodha, MD and CEO ofLodha Developers, signed an MoU with the government of Maharashtra committing₹1 lakh crorein the backdrop of World EconomicForum at Davos.
Four months ago, the company had signed a memorandum ofunderstanding worth ₹30,000 crore with the Maharashtra government to develop a data centre park in thestate.
With the total investment of ₹1.3 lakh crore in an approximately 2.5 gigawatt datacentre park, it is slated to be the largest in the country, the company said.
Amazon had already acquired land parcel for its datacentre and made arrangements for its power requirement for the next 15 years. Singapore-based STT Global Data Centres had also acquired a land parcel in the park.
“Over and above the ₹30,000 crore commitment last year to develop the data centre park, we havesigned another agreement with Government of Maharashtra to invest additional ₹1 lakh crore,” said Abhishek Lodha, MDand CEO of Lodha Developers Ltd.
