(AP Photo/Evan Vucci) Donald Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’: US President Donald Trump on Thursday said “everybody” wants to be a part of his Board of Peace. Trump made the comments during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where the members of the Board of Peace also signed its first charter.
The Board of Peace will be led by an Executive Council of which Trump will be the founding chairman.
Other members of the council are:
- Tony Blair – former British prime minister
- Jared Kushner – Trump’s son-in-law
- Marco Rubio – US Secretary of State
- Steve Witkoff – US special envoy to the Middle East
- Marc Rowan – CEO of financial firm Apollo Global Management
- Ajay Banga – President, World Bank Group
- Robert Gabriel – US Deputy National Security Adviser
According to Trump, 59 countries are involved in efforts to bring peace to the Middle East, but it is not clear if all of them would join the Board of Peace.
As of now, a total of 35 countries have agreed to join the Board of Peace, out of which around 20 have formally become a part of the initiative.

According to the Board of Peace, while countries can serve three-year terms, they can secure a permanent seat by paying a $1 billion fee toward a peace-building fund.
