Fujifilm today announced it is bringing the instax mini Evo Cinema camera to India. The latest from the popular camera maker is a hybrid instant camera that supports instant printing and can also record videos. The company says the instax mini Evo Cinema camera takes design inspiration from the FUJICA Single-8, an 8mm movie camera that was launched back in 1965.

It sports a rear LCD screen that allows users to preview images and select shots that they want to print. Fujifilm says the instax mini Evo Cinema can convert recorded videos into QR coes and even print a still frame extracted from clips. When users scan the QR code generated by the camera using their smartphone, it will replay the video within an instax-style frame.

The hybrid camera also doubles as up a smartphone printer when connected using the dedicated app, enabling users to print images captured by their phones. With this integration, Fujifilm says the instax mini Evo Cinema is a combined still camera, video camera and instant printer.

It also boasts a new feature called Eras Dial, which, as the name suggests adds visual and audio effects inspired by time periods. Fujifilm says there are 10 era-based effects to choose from that are inspired by the 1960s 8mm film cameras. Prebooking for the instax mini Evo Cinema start from January 21 to January 27, with sale starting from January 28. It is priced at Rs 47,999 and will be available on the instax India website.
