Salman Khan's father Salim Khan health update: Veteran screenwriter is on ventilator support - Report
Renowned screenwriter Salim Khan has been hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital, currently requiring ventilator support. Medical professionals have diagnosed him with internal bleeding stemming from a spike in blood pressure and ruptured blood vessels. He has undergone surgery today. Veteran screenwriter and Salman Khan‘s father, Salim Khan, was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on February 17, 2026. This news worried the fans of the Khan family. Later, it was reported that he is now stable and under observation. And according to the latest development, the veteran screenwriter has undergone surgery and has been put on ventilator support. Let’s learn more about it.

Salim Khan on ventilator support

According to a report by The Indian Express, Dr. Jalil Parkar has stated, “He has undergone surgery and is now kept on a ventilator. His condition is stable now. At 11am on Wednesday, we will issue a press bulletin with the consent of the family and relatives.”

Meanwhile, according to a PTI report, Salim Khan was brought to the hospital at 8:30 am, and he is “stable but is under close observation regarding his clinical status.” The doctor further stated that an official health update will be released on Wednesday at 11 am with “due consent of the relatives & maintaining the confidentiality of the patient to the utmost.”Additionally, News18 Showsha and News24 have reported that Salim Khan’s blood pressure spiked, causing internal bleeding on the right side of the brain.Reportedly, after this, the doctors stated blood vessels have burst, causing internal bleeding. To treat the same, Salim Khan underwent surgery.

After Salim Khan was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning, the management released an official statement in the evening. The health bulletin of the hospital revealed that the veteran screenwriter is stable and is under close observation. Reportedly, Dr Jalil Parkar said, “A team of doctors consisting of Dr Vinay Chavan (neurologist), Dr Ajit Menon (cardiologist), and Dr Nitin Dange (neurosurgeon), and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia attended to him.“

Family at the hospital

Salim Khan’s children, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Alvira Khan, and Arpita Khan, were seen arriving at the hospital in the evening yesterday. Grandsons Nirvaan and Arhaan had come to pay a visit to their grandfather and check on him.Reportedly, Salman Khan looked visually disturbed when he left the hospital late at night.
