IPL 2026, Delhi weather: Will rain play spoilsport in DC vs GT clash today?
Rain threat looms over DC vs GT clash (Screengrab)

The Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to face the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 14 of IPL 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday. However, more than the on-field action, all eyes are firmly on the weather, with the national capital experiencing unseasonal rainfall over the past few days. The ongoing IPL season has already witnessed multiple weather disruptions across the country. The KKR vs PBKS clash in Kolkata was washed out, while the RR vs MI encounter had to be curtailed to just 11 overs per side. Now, for the third consecutive day, rain threatens to play spoilsport as Delhi braces for uncertain conditions.Afternoon Showers a ConcernAccording to Accuweather forecasts, the weather in Delhi is expected to remain clear in the morning, but conditions could deteriorate as the day progresses. Cloud cover is likely to increase by the afternoon, with rain and thunderstorms predicted around 1 PM to 3 PM. AccuWeather suggests there is a 51% chance of significant showers during this window, raising concerns about potential delays or impact on pitch conditions.Despite the afternoon rain threat, there is optimism for an uninterrupted match. The sun is expected to make a brief appearance between 4 PM and 6 PM, aiding in drying conditions, although a 15–19% chance of light showers still remains during this period. Crucially, there is no rain forecast from 7 PM onwards, when the toss is scheduled. As the evening progresses, skies are expected to clear, with only strong winds prevailing at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.Conditions Likely to Be Warm and HumidDelhi is set to experience a warm evening, with temperatures ranging between 28°C and 35°C. Humidity could make conditions challenging for players, especially early in the game. While the match is expected to go ahead as planned, the afternoon showers could still influence proceedings, particularly in terms of outfield conditions and pitch behavior. Ground staff will play a crucial role in ensuring the venue is match-ready after any rain interruptions.Squads for DC vs GT clashDelhi Capitals Squad: KL Rahul(w), Pathum Nissanka, Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel(c), Vipraj Nigam, Lungi Ngidi, Kuldeep Yadav, T Natarajan, Mukesh Kumar, Ashutosh Sharma, Auqib Nabi Dar, Dushmantha Chameera, Karun Nair, Mitchell Starc, Kyle Jamieson, Ajay Jadav Mandal, Prithvi Shaw, Tripurana Vijay, Abishek Porel, Sahil Parakh, Madhav TiwariGujarat Titans Squad: Sai Sudharsan, Kumar Kushagra, Jos Buttler(w), Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan(c), Kagiso Rabada, Ashok Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Jason Holder, Manav Suthar, Anuj Rawat, Jayant Yadav, Shubman Gill, Luke Wood, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Tom Banton, Kulwant Khejroliya, Arshad Khan, Gurnoor Brar, Nishant Sindhu, Ishant Sharma
