A Milwaukee Brewers fan named Shannon Kobylarczyk from Wisconsin has been fired from her job after her racist rant at a Dodgers fan went viral online. The video, which spread across X and Instagram, showed Shannon shouting “Let’s call ICE” at Ricardo Fosado, a U.S. citizen and two-time war veteran, during the Brewers vs Dodgers playoff game. Within 24 hours of the video going viral, Shannon lost her job at ManPowerGroup, a global company, and later resigned from the Make-A-Wish Foundation Wisconsin board, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles and People.

During the Brewers’ 5-1 loss to the Dodgers at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Ricardo Fosado, a Dodgers fan, joked to nearby fans, “Why’s everybody so quiet?” His comment made Shannon angry. She turned around and said, “Real men drink beer,” and then added, “Let’s call ICE.”

Fosado replied calmly, saying, “Call ICE! I’m a U.S. citizen, war veteran baby girl. Two wars. ICE can’t do anything to me.” The video also showed Shannon Kobylarczyk trying to hit his phone and calling him a bad name.Soon after, the clip spread online, and people started identifying her as Shannon Kobylarczyk. The video was first shared by the Instagram user @savagecycles87, who urged others to speak out against such racism.In the comments, ManPowerGroup confirmed that Shannon Kobylarczyk was fired. The company wrote, “As soon as we became aware of this video, the individual was placed on immediate leave and we began an investigation. As a result of this process, the employee is no longer with the organization. We remain committed to maintaining a culture grounded in respect, integrity, and accountability.” Following the backlash, Shannon Kobylarczyk deleted her LinkedIn and Facebook profiles. She also stepped down from the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin board, as confirmed by WISN 12 News Milwaukee.

Ricardo Fosado, U.S. war veteran targeted by Brewers fan, speaks out after viral video

Ricardo Fosado, who works as a CEO at Foxtrot Construction, told Fox 11 that he was shocked by Shannon’s behavior. His friend later posted the video online, explaining what happened and urging people to stand up against hate.The post read, “My friend, a proud Dodgers fan and a two-time U.S. war veteran, was just cheering for his team when a woman turned around and told her husband, ‘Let’s call ICE on him.’ This kind of racism has no place anywhere.”The Brewers later released a statement reminding fans to show respect and sportsmanship at games. It is important to maintain the ethics in sports.This incident shows how quickly hate can spread, and how fast the world can respond when it does.
