Idaho Falls, Idaho (KIFI) – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation invite students of all school ages (K-12) in Idaho to participate in their annual Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest. I would like to encourage you to do so. Homeschooling and individual participation are also welcome.
Entries must be submitted by March 1, 2023 to be eligible. One student design is selected by the state as “Best of Show” and advances to competition at the national level.
The winner of the national competition will receive a scholarship with a grand prize of $1,000.

The program started in 1989 as an extension of the Migratory Bird Conservation and Hunting Stamp. The art contest was officially launched in 1993. Since the program began 30 years ago, Junior Duck Stamps have raised over $1 million. Proceeds from the sale of Junior Duck Stamps will be invested in conservation education and reward contest participants and winners.
