Delhi-NCR AQI Level Today: The air quality in Delhi-NCR refuses to improve, with the air quality index (AQI) remaining well above safe levels on November 18. The AQI at 7 AM on Tuesday read 446 on aqi.in. This was equivalent to smoking nearly 10 cigarettes a day. The Early Warning System for Delhi, which is under the Ministry Of Earth Sciences, painted a slightly better picture with the AQI reading at 341 at 7 AM. The difference in the AQI readings by various air quality monitoring bodies is due to the different parameters used to track air quality as well as the number and locations of the monitoring stations/ devices used.

However, as per the Opposition in Delhi, the Rekha Gupta government has been trying to fudge the AQI numbers by sprinkling water only around the AQI monitoring stations.
Bawana recorded the highest AQI of 419, followed by Jahangirpuri with an 414, as per the EWS. Check out the list of areas with the highest AQI below:

AQI in Gurgaon Faridabad , Meerut and other NCR areas
The AQI in Gurgaon at 7 AM on Tuesday was 411, while in Faridabad, it was way higher at 443. Meerut recorded the same AQI (443).
The AQI in Ghaziabad, Greater Noida and Noida were alarmingly high at 554, 558, and 469, respectively.
Health Advisory
With no rain being forecast by the India Meteorological Department, the AQI is unlikely to improve. Under the circumstances, it is best to avoid stepping outside as much as possible and when stepping out, wear an N95 mask for some level of protection. Stick to exercising indoors.
If you have air purifiers at home or in your car, keep them running whenever the AQI is high within the enclosed space. Clean the Hepa filters regularly.

Keep a check on allergies, which may show an uptick in winter, especially with the AQI shooting through the roof. Clean surroundings and air filters are must to avoid any allergens.
