City-based Akshayakalpa Organic claimed on Monday (November 3, 2025) that it has been instrumental in significantly upping the incomes of farmers who are part of its organic journey across South of India.

For instance, an EY analysis conducted for one of its inventors, British International Investment (BII), found thatprior to joining the Akshayakalpa bandwagon, farmers used to earn just₹10,000 per month, the earnings grew to ₹95,000 by 2022 and reached ₹1,28,000 on an average, currently.

Addressing a media conference here, Shashi Kumar, Founder & CEO, Akshayakalpa Organic, said, more and more young people should enter farming to strengthen the hands of existing farmers. “The fieldsrequirenew energies and this will change the entire narrative of India’s farming,’’ he said.

₹46 crore monthly turnover

The company has over 2,200 organic farmers across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in its network and of these some 1,500 are from seven districts of Karnataka.

“We are a company started by 27 people from Wipro and we experiences hardships for the first nine years. We were close to going bankrupt some six times. However, soon after that we have proven farming to be a viable, profitable and sustainable occupation,’’ he elaborated.

Akshayakalpa Organic currently has a monthly turnover of ₹46 crore, of which Benglauru alone accounts for ₹36 crore, while Chennai and Hyderabad contribute the rest. Mr. Kumar said the brand would enter Mumbai and Pune markets soon.
