Haryana horror returns: Suitcase with woman’s body found on roadside, police suspect strangulation; killer on the run

JIND: The body of a woman was found stuffed inside a blue suitcase in a drain in Haryana’s Kaithal district on Tuesday. Farmers from Sheela Khera village noticed dogs dragging the suitcase between 3 and 4 pm, according to inspector Geeta Singh, SHO of the women’s police station.

They alerted the police after finding the remains. The victim, estimated to be around 30 years old, has not yet been identified. The SHO said there were rope-like marks on her neck, suggesting she may have been strangled. Two dresses were also found inside the suitcase. Sources indicate the body appears to be several days old and was swollen from being submerged in water. Investigators are using a tattoo on her hand as a key clue for identification. The body was kept at the civil hospital mortuary. Police have shared details with neighbouring stations, and a forensic team has collected evidence from the scene. This incident follows a similar case on March 1, when the body of 22-year-old Congress worker Himani Narwal was found in a suitcase near the Sampla bus stand flyover in Rohtak. The incident had led to a huge uproar.
