South African batter Rillie Rossouw drew a bizarre comparison between Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL, saying the latter feels “more of a movie than actual cricket.”Rossouw said the IPL has a different environment compared to the PSL. “The IPL obviously has the whole Bollywood behind it, so it’s a lot more of a movie than actual cricket. So both of them have their pros and cons.“

Rossouw was named Player of the Match after Quetta Gladiators beat Rawalpindiz by 61 runs in Karachi on Friday.Quetta Gladiators romped to a 61-run win over Rawalpindiz after an emphatic performance with both bat and ball in the 18th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League here at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi on Friday night.Rawalpindiz, who lost their fifth consecutive game in the tournament, were restricted to 121 in 17.3 overs in pursuit of a 183-run target courtesy two wickets each from Saud Shakeel, Jahandad Khan and Usman Tariq.Rossouw’s comment comes days after the PSL chief Mohsin Naqvi said a few days ago that PSL will become the top franchise league in the world.

Speaking during a meeting of the PCB Board of Governors, Naqvi said the PSL has become a key platform for investment and is on track to grow further. “The PSL has now become the best market for investment,” Naqvi said. “The time is not far when the PSL will become the world’s number one league,” he added.
