Iran-US-Israel War Ceasefire News Today Live Updates: Pakistan said Lebanon Prime Minister Nawaf Salam had sought Islamabad’s support for bringing an immediate end to the attacks targeting Lebanon and its people in a phone call with ‌Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif. Meanwhile, Iran will allow no more than 15 vessels a day to pass through the Strait of Hormuz under the ceasefire agreement it agreed with the United States, Russia’s state TASS news agency quoted an unnamed senior Iranian source as saying on Thursday. The fragile two-week ceasefire between Washington and Tehran is facing its most severe test yet, less than 48 hours after its inception. Tensions have reached a boiling point as Iran announced the re-closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a move triggered by a massive Israeli air campaign in Lebanon that killed over 100 people on Wednesday.

While the US and Israel maintain that Lebanon remains outside the scope of the “truce”, Tehran and Hezbollah have denounced the strikes as a “flagrant violation” of the deal. US President Donald Trump warned that American forces are “loading up,” stating that if the agreement is breached, the “shootin’ starts” with a military response “bigger and stronger than anyone has ever seen before”.

Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian hit back, saying, “The repeated aggression by the Zionist entity against Lebanon is a flagrant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement and a dangerous indicator of deceit and lack of commitment to potential accords.”

Iran-US war 2026: Here are the latest developments

Hormuz in deadlock: Iran has once again shut the world’s most vital oil artery. Tracking data shows tankers, including the AUROURA, performing abrupt U-turns to return to the Persian Gulf as maritime risk peaks.

Beirut under fire: Israel confirmed the assassination of Ali Yusuf Harshi, the personal secretary and nephew of Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem, during a high-intensity raid on Beirut.

Hezbollah retaliates: Marking its first strike since the ceasefire announcement, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets into northern Israel, citing the “massacre” in Lebanon as justification.

Two-week Iran-US ceasefire announced Truce

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif announces an “immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon” after mediating the US-Iran deal. Celebrations erupt in Tehran and Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Within the Hour

Netanyahu: Truce does NOT cover Lebanon Fracture

The Israeli PM publicly contradicts the mediator, saying Israel has “finger on the trigger” and will keep striking Hezbollah. The first cracks in the deal appear within minutes of the announcement.

Wed Morning

Israel issues mass evacuation orders Warning

IDF orders civilians out of a 40-km zone from the border and reissues warnings for Beirut’s southern suburbs. Residents of Tyre are told to flee specific buildings — a prelude to the largest strike of the war.

Wed Afternoon

100+ strikes in 10 minutes — largest blow since ‘Operation Beepers’ Strike

Israel unleashes its largest coordinated assault of the war — hitting central Beirut (Corniche al-Mazraa), the Bekaa Valley, Sidon, Mount Lebanon and southern villages. Busy commercial areas struck without warning. Defence Minister Katz calls it the heaviest blow to Hezbollah since the 2024 pager attack.

Wed Evening

Lebanon toll: 254 killed, 1,165 wounded Massacre

Lebanese Civil Defence confirms the deadliest single day of the Israel-Hezbollah war. President Joseph Aoun calls it a “massacre”; UN rights chief Volker Türk calls the scale “nothing short of horrific.”

Wed Late Evening

Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz — again Retaliation

Tehran announces re-closure of the strait — through which 20% of global oil flows — in direct response to the Lebanon strikes. The White House calls it “completely unacceptable” and demands it be reopened.

Now (Thu)

IRGC warning: Stop, or we hit back Live

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards issue a final warning: “If aggression against Lebanon does not cease immediately, we will deliver a response.” FM Araghchi tells the US: “Ceasefire or continued war via Israel — it cannot have both.” Trump dismisses Lebanon as a “separate skirmish.”

Ceasefire Status: Hanging by a Thread Iran has not yet launched missiles at Israel. The 14-day truce window is now in a 24-hour probation period, with Hormuz closed and the IRGC on a verbal countdown.
