The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the provisional answer keys for JEE Main 2026 April Session 2 on April 11, 2026. According to a notice issued over X (formerly Twitter), the NTA has outlined the post-examination timeline. As per the announcement, NTA will release the question papers on April 9. This will be followed by the provisional answer key and the opening of the JEE Main April 2026 answer key challenge window on April 11.

In a press release, the Agency informed that 11.23 lakh candidates appeared for the exam at 566 centres located in 304 cities across India and 14 cities abroad.

Around 11.06 lakh domestic and 4,229 international candidates registered for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/BTech.), with a 93 per cent attendance rate and 97 per cent Aadhaar authentication. For Paper 2 (BArch./BPlanning), about 54,953 domestic and 270 international candidates registered, seeing a 73 per cent attendance rate and 97 per cent Aadhaar authentication.

During this period, candidates will be able to access their recorded responses, compare them with the provisional answers, and submit objections if they identify discrepancies, on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic. Following the evaluation of objections, the NTA will publish the final answer key. This will form the basis for the calculation of results.

The results for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 are tentatively scheduled to be declared on April 20, 2026. Alongside the results, the agency will also release the final rankings, which will determine candidatesโ eligibility for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes and qualification for JEE (Advanced). This final score will be the best of the two sessions, and normalised scores will be considered.
The JEE Main 2026 session 2 exams were held in the first week. The JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 (BE/BTech) exams were held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8. The Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) were held on April 7. The exams were conducted in two shifts each day.

JEE Advanced 2026 dates have also been announced. JEE Advanced will be conducted on May 17. The exam will be held in two sessions on the same day โ Paper 1 from 9 am to noon 12 pm, and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Appearing in both papers is mandatory; candidates who skip either paper will not be considered for the merit list.
