The Mumbai Police launched an investigation after gunshots were heard near the Juhu residence of filmmaker Rohit Shetty.Preliminary reports indicate that gunshot-like sounds were reported in the area, prompting an immediate police response. As per ANI, the Mumbai Police and forensic teams arrived at Director Rohit Shetty’s residence and secured the premises for a detailed search.

As per a report on PTI, the incident took place in the early hours of the day following which security outside the building was intensified, an official said. An official confirmed in a statement to PTI, “Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating.”The police further reported that four rounds were fired at the building by unidentified persons.
Police conduct probe
As per a report on India Forum, director Shetty allegedly alerted authorities after the four gunshot sounds were heard. Although no injuries or casualties have been reported, police reportedly cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure. A police told the portal, “No one has been injured, and there is no immediate threat at this point.”Forensic teams are reportedly investigating multiple possibilities, with teams deployed to examine the surroundings. Visuals from outside the filmmaker’s residence that were posted on social media, soon went viral online. The videos show Mumbai Police vehicles near the director’s residence while other teams and security personnel were seen with flashlights, searching the balcony.
