Thinking of Diwali gifts? FASTag Annual Pass might be a good option! Here's how to gift one

Ran out of gifting ideas for that travel enthusiast in your life this Diwali? FASTag’s annual pass might help! The FASTag annual pass, launched by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), offers smooth travel on national highways and expressways across the country.

Goodbye, Frequent FASTag Recharges! NHAI Launches Annual Pass for Rs 3,000

The pass can be gifted easily through the Rajmargyatra app. By selecting the ‘Add Pass’ option, users can enter the vehicle number and the recipient’s contact details. A quick OTP verification activates the pass on the FASTag linked to that vehicle. The pass is valid at around 1,150 toll plazas, giving drivers a cost-effective and convenient way to travel, the ministry of road transport and highway said in a statement. With a one-time fee of Rs 3,000, the annual pass covers either 200 toll crossings or one year, whichever comes first, removing the need to recharge FASTag frequently. It is available for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and is activated within two hours of payment through the app.Since its launch on August 15, the FASTag annual pass has already been adopted by over 25 lakh users, generating approximately 5.67 crore transactions in just two months.
