Former President Donald Trump has dropped another lawsuit against Attorney General Letitia James.
Lawyers for Trump and James said Tuesday they had reached an agreement to dismiss the appeal.
The former president appealed a federal judge’s ruling last May, allowing the AG to continue its investigation into the Trump Organization. A judge dismissed Trump’s allegations that James, a Democrat, was targeting him politically and viciously investigating him.

The former commander-in-chief and his family have denied any wrongdoing.
A one-page document filed in federal district court did not explain why Trump dropped the lawsuit, but James said he believes it is a victory.
“I am pleased that Donald Trump has withdrawn both pending lawsuits against my office,” she said in a statement. We are filing a legitimate lawsuit against the organization and we cannot allow ourselves to be bullied or dissuaded from pursuing it.”
Trump last week filed in November to block the Attorney General’s Office from obtaining documents and records from personal trusts he set up to hold his business interests after he took office. dismissed the lawsuit filed.
In that lawsuit, filed in Florida, Trump’s attorneys alleged that James “repeatedly abused his position as attorney general of New York to seek vengeance against President Trump.”
James filed a $250 million civil fraud lawsuit against the former president.
New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engolon has set an October trial date for James’ civil case against Trump.
