President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday said that officials from Ukraine, the US and Russia will meet in UEA on Friday and Saturday. Zelenskyy made the announcement during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Earlier, following his meeting with US President Donald Trump, Zelenskyy said documents for a deal to end the war in Ukraine are “nearly, nearly ready.”
Some of the documents seek security guarantees, while others cover economic plans for the future of Ukraine.
On his nearly an hour-long meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy said it was “productive and substantive”.
Zelenskyy said in a post on X that he and Trump spoke about air defense for Ukraine. Zelenskyy also wrote that he thanked the US President for the previous package of air defense missiles, while asking for an additional one.
“Our previous meeting with President Trump helped strengthen the protection of our skies, and I hope that this time we will reinforce it further as well,” he said.

During his speech, the Ukrainian President criticized European leaders for failing to act on the continent’s security.
“Just last year, here in Davos, I ended my speech with the words: Europe needs to know how to defend itself. A year has passed. And nothing has changed. We are still in a situation where I must say the same words again,” he said.
He also lamented the delay in setting up a special tribunal for Russian aggression at the International Criminal Court (ICC), as he said that “too often in Europe something else is more urgent than justice.”
“There is still no real progress on establishing a special tribunal for Russian aggression against Ukraine, against the Ukrainian people,” Zelenskyy said.

“Many meetings have taken place but still Europe hasn’t reached even the point of having a home for the tribunal, with staff and actual work happening inside.”
“What’s missing, time or political will?”
Zelenskyy also compared the European behaviour on the ongoing war in Ukraine to what is happening around Greenland recently.
“Everyone turned attention to Greenland, and it’s clear most leaders simply are not sure what to do about it. And it seems like everyone is just waiting for America to cool down on this topic, hoping it will pass away. But what if it will not, what then?” Zelenskyy asked.
According to Zelenskyy, Russian warships were sailing freely around Greenland, and he offered Ukraine’s expertise and weapons “to ensure not one of those ships remains.”

“They can sink near Greenland, just as they do near Crimea,” he said, referring to the recent Ukrainian drone attack on a Russian submarine. “We can take actions and we know how to fight there, if we were asked, and if Ukraine were in NATO — but we are not.”
