PM Modi Tamil Nadu Visit LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu today to inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit and release over Rs 18,000 crore to farmers under the 21st instalment of PM-KISAN, benefiting 9 crore farmers nationwide. PM Modi will arrive in Coimbatore at 1:30 pm from Puttaparthi after attending the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The summit will promote natural and regenerative farming, strengthen market linkages for FPOs and rural entrepreneurs, and showcase innovations in organic inputs, agro-processing, eco-friendly packaging, and indigenous technologies. More than 50,000 farmers, experts, and stakeholders from Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states are expected to attend.

Stalin accuses Centre of bias: Ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin criticised the Centre for denying Metro rail projects to Madurai and Coimbatore, calling the decision “political revenge” against a state governed by an Opposition party. He accused the BJP-led government of approving Metros for smaller Tier-II cities in BJP-ruled states while ignoring Tamil Nadu, calling it a distortion of federal principles. Stalin also wrote an open letter to the PM seeking urgent support for the state’s bumper harvest and monsoon-related needs ahead of Modi’s Coimbatore visit. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu BJP launched the “#VanakkamModi” campaign, calling him “a true friend of every farmer.”

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are likely to see light to moderate rain, with Cuddalore and Mayiladuthurai expecting isolated heavy spells on Wednesday and Thursday. Chennai, already dealing with waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and earlier school closures, could see worsening conditions over the weekend, with heavier rain forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
