‘Bhooth Bangla’ Day 1 collection
The horror-comedy, directed by Priyadarshan, earned an estimated Rs 12.25 crore net on its first day in cinemas. When combined with Rs 3.50 crore net from paid preview screenings, the film’s total domestic net collection stands at around Rs 15.75 crore.This figure aligns with, and slightly exceeds, early trade expectations of a Rs 15 crore opening.

Bhooth Bangla has now entered the top five highest opening day grossers of Akshay Kumar’s post-pandemic releases. While ‘Sooryavanshi’ is still on the number 1 spot with an estimated Rs 26.29 crore collection, ‘Housefull 5’ occupies the second spot with a Rs 24 crore net collection.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ delays release to avert clash with ‘Dhurandhar’
‘Bhooth Bangla’ was earlier set to release on April 10 but the makers decided to postpone the release by a week, following requests from exhibitors and distributors to provide an “undisturbed window” to the movie at the box office as ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ was already playing in theatres. This decision seemes to have paid off as the film has emerged as the highest earning film on Friday and can look forward to topping the box office this weekend.
