The overall air quality remained in Delhi remained in the ‘very poor’ category on Thursday morning, while Anand Vihar was in the ‘severe’ zone. Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated after Diwali, with slow wind speed making matters worse. At the same time, the AAP and the ruling BJP are locked in a war of words, with each blaming the other for the toxic air that Delhi residents are breathing. While the BJP has accused AAP of forcing farmers to burn stubble in Punjab to deliberately hit Delhi’s air, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party alleged that the Rekha Gupta government in Delhi is deliberately causing people to fall sick as it is working to promote private hospitals.
