Maharashtra: Fadnavis honours Mandhana, Rodrigues and Radha YadavIn Mumbai, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis felicitated Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Radha Yadav, presenting each with a Rs 2.25 crore cash reward. Calling them the “pride of Maharashtra,” Fadnavis said their win would inspire a generation of girls.Coach Amol Muzumdar and the support staff were also awarded for their contributions. “This victory wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of everyone behind the scenes,” Mandhana said, as the state celebrated its champions.Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav honours Kranti Goud with Rs 1 crore rewardIn Bhopal, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav felicitated World Cup-winning seamer Kranti Goud, who hails from Chhatarpur’s Bundelkhand region. Goud was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 crore, with her parents and coach also being honoured at the event.Yadav praised the young bowler’s grit and her journey from rural Madhya Pradesh to global success, calling her a “symbol of fitness and focus.” He also announced the construction of a cricket stadium in Chhatarpur and assured to address her father’s pending police department issue.Andhra Pradesh: Rs 2.5 crore, government job and house site for Shree CharaniAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met left-arm spinner Shree Charani and announced a cash reward of Rs 2.5 crore, a 1,000 sq. yard house site in Kadapa, and a Group-I government job.Naidu praised the 21-year-old’s performance, saying she had shown “the power of Indian women.” Shree Charani, who took 14 wickets in the tournament, said she was thankful for her family’s encouragement and vowed to bring more laurels for India.West Bengal: Siliguri celebrates Richa Ghosh’s homecomingSiliguri erupted in joy as thousands lined the streets to welcome Richa Ghosh, Bengal’s first World Cup-winning cricketer. Riding through a city draped in banners, the wicketkeeper-batter was felicitated at Baghajatin Park, where she was honoured by civic leaders and over 50 local organisations.“It was my dream to play for India and lift the World Cup,” Richa said, dedicating the victory to team unity and her parents’ support. She also urged for a cricket stadium in Siliguri to promote sports in North Bengal.Other felicitation and recognitionsIn Punjab, all-rounder Amanjot Kaur expressed gratitude for her home state’s support after meeting PM Modi. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a Rs 50 lakh reward for all-rounder Sneha Rana, while in Telangana, Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari congratulated Arundhati Reddy for being part of the historic squad.
