Rajat Bedi, who was recently seen in Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has been expressing his gratitude towards Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan for reviving his career. Rajat started his career in the movies in the 1990s, but by the mid-2000s, when things weren’t panning out, he moved out of the country. In a new interview, Rajat shared that his association with Shah Rukh goes back to the 1990s, and he also shared how he loved watching the evolving equation between SRK and his son.

In a chat with Radio Nasha Official, Rajat shared that the Khan family held a ‘Lakshmi pooja’ for close friends and family, and the cast members of the show, at their office before starting production. “Before the show started, there was a Lakshmi pooja in the office, and all the close friends, family members, and those connected with the show were called for it. So that day, I was watching Shah Rukh and Aryan talk regarding scenes and everything, and I was wondering how Aryan has grown up and I was watching their equation,” he shared and added that he also enjoyed working with his son on the show, who was working as an assistant on it.

Rajat recalled visiting Shah Rukh’s mansion Mannat at the preview screening of the trailer and said that “going inside Mannat was like going to Buckingham Palace.” He shared that when SRK addressed the guests during this screening, he referred to Rajat as Tiger, which reminded Rajat of the good old days.

Rajat was an assistant to Ramesh Sippy during the making of the 1995 film Zamaana Deewana, and since there was another assistant named Rajat, Shah Rukh, who was the star of the film, started calling him Tiger. “Shah Rukh was just upcoming, but already a very busy star then. He used to treat me like a friend then. He would call me to the make up room and have really deep conversations, whatever was on his mind. I still remember everything, the goods and the bads,” he shared.

Rajat made his debut in the movies in the late 1990s, and soon started appearing in supporting roles. He was seen in films like Koi Mil Gaya, International Khiladi, Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, among others.
