About MapmyIndia Mappls

MapmyIndia Mappls is a leading advanced digital maps and deep-tech company, popularly known in India as MapmyIndia and globally as Mappls. The company claims to offer proprietary digital maps as a service (MaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and platform as a service (PaaS), including its advanced digital map data, software products, platforms, application programming interfaces (APIs), IoT and solutions to new-age tech companies, large businesses, automotive OEMs, government organisations, developers and consumers.

Rakesh Verma, co-founder and Chairman & Managing Director, MapmyIndia Mappls, said, “It is a proud moment for us at MapmyIndia Mappls to offer our solutions and tech to two of India’s leading organizations that are of immense national importance – Survey of India, which has been India’s premier topographic mapping agency for more than two centuries, and the Indian Oil Corporation, India’s leading oil manufacturing and marketing Maharatna company. MapmyIndia Mappls, which has been mapping the country for more than three decades to build India most comprehensive, accurate and hyperlocal digital map database and technology platform, will power Survey of India’s National Geo Platform while IOCL will leverage its IoT based location tech solutions. These alliances don’t just hold business significance but are a strong step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government’s thrust to open up and de-colonise India’s geospatial sector. For India’s geospatial sector to achieve the targeted revenue ₹1 lakh crore by 2030, it is imperative that private enterprises be taken on board by the government and its agencies into strategic areas.”
