The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has released drone footage that it says shows suspected Hamas members looting a humanitarian aid truck in southern Gaza.

Video shared by CENTCOM on X was captured by an American MQ-9 surveillance drone that was monitoring the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

In a statement, CENTCOM said: “The US-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) observed suspected Hamas operatives looting an aid truck travelling as part of a humanitarian convoy delivering needed assistance from international partners to Gazans in northern Khan Younis.”

CENTCOM added that the incident took place on October 31 near northern Khan Younis, when “operatives attacked the driver and stole the aid and truck after moving the driver to the road’s median.” The driver’s condition was not immediately known.

The CMCC, based in Kiryat Gat in southern Israel, was set up under US leadership to coordinate the delivery of humanitarian and security assistance to Gaza. It includes representatives from nearly 40 nations and international organisations.

CENTCOM said around 600 trucks carrying aid and goods have been entering Gaza daily, warning that such incidents “undermine these efforts.”

The current ceasefire, brokered by the United States under President Donald Trump’s 20-Point Gaza Peace Plan, began on October 10, 2025. It aims to end more than two years of fighting, allow hostages to be released, and ensure humanitarian access to Gaza.

Al Jazeera reported that despite the truce, Israel continues to restrict or delay many aid deliveries agreed under the peace plan, leaving hundreds of trucks waiting to cross.

Israel has also accused Hamas of breaking the ceasefire. The militant group denies responsibility, saying it has lost communication with some of its operatives in Israeli-controlled areas.
