Wipro Ltd, Azim Premji-promoted tech and digital services firm, on Thursdayreported net profit of ₹3,246 crore for September ended quarter, a marginal growth over ₹3,208 crore reported in the same period a year ago.

The tech firm’s revenue from operations grew to ₹22,697.3 crore, up 1.7% year-on-year from ₹22,301 crore. Revenue from information technology (IT) services business was $2.6 billion, an increase of 0.7% QoQ and a decrease of 2.1% YoY.

The company saw total contracts worth $4.7 billion during the quarter with 13large deals accounting for $2.9 billion.

On guidance, Wipro expects revenue from its IT Services business segment to be in the range of $2,591 million of $2,644 million. This translates to sequential guidance of (-)0.5% to (+)1.5% in constant currency terms.

According to Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director, bookings surpassed $9.5 billion for H1 FY26. “Our strategy is clear: remain resilient, adapt to global shifts, and lead with AI.’‘

Aparna Iyer, Chief Financial Officer, said “We are gradually returning to growth trajectory with three of our four SMUs (strategic market units) growing sequentially in Q2. All key financial parameters continue to remain strong.’‘

In his commentary at a media conference, Mr. Pallia said, “We continue to see momentum in BFSI, with clients prioritising cost optimisation, vendor consolidation, legacy modernisation, and scaled deployment of Agentic AI.’‘

However, he said tariff uncertainties continued to impact the consumer, energy and manufacturing sectors and leading customers were re-evaluating supply chains.

In technology and communications, the focus was on accelerating AI adoption and developing industry-specific solutions, with cost optimisation remaining central, he observed.

“Healthcare, especially in the U.S., is undergoing structural changes. We are actively supporting clients through this transition, and the sector remains one of our strong performers,’‘ he added.

According to Mr. Pallia, much of this demand is driven by vendor consolidations, AI-powered transformations, and consulting-led programmes—areas where our strategy is truly making an impact.

Wipro added 2,260 people in Q2 taking the total headcount to 235,492, Sequentially, the attrition decreased to 14.9%for the last-twelve-month (LTM) basis.
